The tour we have taken with the Shanghai Squad is the tech tour. Our guide Larry is awesome and very accommodating. We told him our time constraints and he sent 2 proposals to choose from to see which is meeting our interests. Obviously you can do it all if you have a full day to spare. If I would’ve known better, I would’ve done a mixed tours which is possible but had tome constraint. Larry’s approach is efficient. We met first and he was quick to get us to a comfortable position and at the end of the tour, we felt like we had the most relaxing day in Shanghai despite having some personal crisis that made us feel down and stressed out. It literally felt like we were out and about with a long time friend and showed us around. So we appreciate that Larry reduced those negative vibes from us that day. Alex also said you are our best day out. Thanks Larry for the good laugh (making fun of robotaxi where humans need to be patience with them) and definitely the funny banters we have about “resources” in the world.

We absolutely loved the tech tour and were truly impressed from start to finish. We couldn’t have asked for better guides than Larry and Alicia – they were incredibly knowledgeable and took such genuine, thoughtful care of us throughout the entire experience.
We were amazed by the technology and the many new experiences we had the chance to explore. The tour felt more like an adventurous journey, filled with a wide variety of highlights – from a test ride with the new NIO, to fascinating robots, autonomous driving in a roboatxi, and even unique cycling experiences.
We can wholeheartedly recommend the Shanghai Squad and are deeply grateful for this wonderful and unforgettable experience.

If you come to Shanghai, definitely make sure you add a Shanghai tech tour with Larry. He can customize according to your interests and time available. We did a full day which included robotics, driverless car, visit to electric car showroom and chose option to be driven around by a driver in one of the latest EVs. The best thing about the tour though was Larry and his friend Jess. Not only were they kind, considerate, and knowledgeable, they also had an interest in our groups backgrounds. Came for the technology but stayed for Larry and Jess. Hope to reconnect with them in the future! If you want to experience living in 2050 as a domestic consumer, book the tech tour with Larry and his team! Definitely value for money as well as an investment in an experience you wont get in many other places, including your home country probably.
